Faithful    Matthew 25:14-30

1. What is the most significant possession/responsibility you have ever delegated to someone?    Or have had delegated to you?

2.  Tell us about that experience.  Was your trust rewarded with diligent effort or did you end up disappointed?

Pastor Scott described this as a parable of latent potential

-Latentpresent and capable of becoming though not now visible, obvious, or active

Eph 2:8,9 descibes our grace relationship with God through faith in Jesus.  That relationship becomes visible, obvious, active in vs 10.

3. How have you seen that potential evidenced in the lives of believers you know?

4. What is the significance of the fact that good works have been prepared for us?

5. In the parable, notice that the Master’s delegation was directly influenced by His knowledge of his servants.  How does that affect the course of good works that God has prepared for each of us?

6. How does the Master’s identical treatment of the 5 talent slave and the 2 talent slave in spite of their different level of production affect our thoughts on God’s expectations for us?

7. How have you been affected by fear as you have encountered ministry possibilities in your life?

8.  What ministry possibilities are you personally aware of that you know you need to get moving on?

9.  Does anyone have a sense of ministry possibilities that we might need to move on as a group?     …as a church?

10.  What next steps can we identify and hold each other accountable for?
